The Japanese victim support project
“Tsunagu-Hikari ”
The Japan Earthquake and Tsunami victim support project "Tsunagu Hikari" started in Okinawa, Japan.
Our mission is to evacuate pregnant women and families with infants and children that are within the radioactively contaminated 100Km radius of the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant.
As Okinawa is the most southern part of Japan it is the safest area to evacuate to.
The most important thing we can do is to give them the care that they dearly need and a radiation free environment for their children to grow.
Volunteer Opportunities
In order to support the victims, we need to locate them to safe areas immediately. Please support in anyway you can!
You can support by finding them a host family to live with (preferably with their own bedroom so they have privacy - if the room has door lock that would be best but it is not essential). Other options would be a guest house and/or a vacant house or room.
Please notify us if you or anyone else can volunteer time to support our project. Donations are needed to help cover the costs of relocation! We welcome your support in anyway!
